An official send-off for the young dancers was held at the National Theatre ahead of their departure, with parents, teachers and representatives of the National Arts and Crafts Council in attendance.
In an interview with TODAY, Mr. Pierre Joseph, director of the Conservatoire of Performing Arts, said considerable work had gone into making the trip possible for the 40 students, particularly given the financial cost involved this year.
